The People
Jim Jones treated his followers as if they were in a prison camp.
The people were fed little food and forced to peform drills that would result in a mass suicide.
Jim Jones demanded loyalty and he was very charismatic man. "He believed that American capitalism caused an unhealthy balance in the world."
Jim Jones asked for his followers to call him brother, or father.
In September of 1977 Jones threatened mass suicide to keep the Guyanese government from taking action against him.
