Remebering the Tragedy: 20 years later

Letting Go:
Leslie Wagner Wilson was forced to abandoned her mother, sister, brother and husband in hopes of saving her life and her son's life. After Jonestown she battled drug abuse and many failed marriages. But she wrote a riveting book on her ordeal in Jonestown and the guilt she felt for leaving her family behind.

The Remains:
The Humanitarian Task Force was sent to Guyana in November 1978 to retrieve remains of the victims of the massacre. They also had the task of IDing the many bodies of tragedy as well.


The Death Tape:
The infamous death tape was recovered shortly after the mass suicide occured.The recordings of the death tape presents theories that some of the deaths were suicides and most were murders.
