The Early Life of Jim Jones

Early Life:
James Warren "Jim" Jones was born on May 31, 1931 in Crete, Indiana. He was the son of James Thurman Jones, a handicap war veteran and Lynette Putnam Jones who worked multiple jobs. His father didnt care for Jim that much and was often with  his mother. His neighbors took him to church for the first time and he fell in love, so at the age of 10 years old he began his religious quest. Jones didnt have many friends due to very religious vibe and not wanting to partake in sinful behavior such as dancing and drinking. Due to problems at home, Lynette and James split and Lynette and Jones moved to Richmond, Indiana. Jones decided to reinvent himself in Richmond, so he worked at a hospital as a orderly and met Marceline Baldwin. Jones graduated high school in December 1948 and married Marceline in 1949 and they adopted several children as the years went by.
